Uncle Budd

Wallace Boyd (Budd) MacNeill, known affectionately by MacNeill students as Uncle Budd, was born and raised in Saskatchewan. He began teaching with the Regina Public School Board in 1953, upon completion of his training at Teachers' College. He was appointed vice-principal in 1955 and principal in 1961. Uncle Budd retired in 1984.

Uncle Budd was a devoted educator who believed in excellence through commitment and service. His patience and understanding proved invaluable when working with students and parents.

Today Uncle Budd still maintains an active role in his school, visiting often, encouraging staff and students alike, and giving out "Uncle Budd Hugs"!
